More to the point a few weeks on the tiles. Yes it's that time on the build for the tiling to get underway. to be precise, about 70 m2, 30 m2 of these are on the floor, bathroom, sauna, utility room, wc and front porch. the rest are for the bathroom and wc's walls. That keeps me on my knees for a little while at least.
Tarja meanwhile, she carried on with the decorating, mainly wallpapering the 3 bedrooms, all that remains to be done in the bedrooms are the laminate flooring and the door and window lists.
TARJA, PULLING THE WALLPAPER THROUGH THE PASTING MACHINE.
This is a very easy, clean and quick system of pasting.
Cutting it to length.
Using a soft plastic spatula to spread the wallpaper evenly onto the wall.
Just a word of caution, if you are unfortunate enough and have to do some joint filling, wear protective gloves, the lime in grout has a surefire way of destroying your skin, it drys you out very fast and your skin will split.
Utility room.
Utility room complete, apart from the grouting.
Special floor drain in utility room, you can wash muddy boots etc, the grille lifts off, underneath is a compartment which collects solid waste, again, this is removable for ease of cleaning.
Seamless floor leading to the bathroom.
Again, seamless floor leading to the sauna.
Main bathroom wall tiles.
We need to get the electrician to pay us a visit soon, he can then wire up the sockets and switches, he might be a little difficult to get a hold of, he is building his own house as well.
Spent a lot of time at the suppliers this week too, collected all the wall tiles for the bathroom, the shower cabinet, laminate flooring, also collected was the kitchen cupboards and worktops, Tarja spent most of this week just dealing with the suppliers, she has arranged the different appliances that she will need in the kitchen, they will be delivered later this month, next week, she can drive down to IKEA, time to arrange the bedroom wardrobes, best to get that stuff delivered, takes up too much of the working day if we pick these things up ourselves.
