You would imagine, that after 3 houses, the garden would come easy. Not so, it is certainly labour intensive, with a lot of preparation work to do, previous houses were built in the forest, this time we are in a field, different base to work with, CLAY, just a little on the heavy side. last time we had to get clay delivered, as the ground dried too fast otherwise, this time, well we had to get some of it taken away, there is still more than enough for our requirements.
TOPSOIL, LEVELLING IT OUT.
FINAL ROLLING
After seeding, another light rake over, then roll it all down. hopefully there won't be any invasion of the feathered variety.
Finish it all off with a light watering.
TARJA, DOING WHAT I HATE.
Tarja is digging a trench, about 30cm deep, about 40 meters long, this is then filled with good soil, this is for the hedging plants which should be arriving anytime soon. Tarja is doing this, as I am recovering from surgery on my arm, therefor unable to do much spadework. Oh happy days indeed.
Broken arm or not, I still managed to finish the main panel work on the garage, still have all the corner, window, door and eave trims to do. The electrician has been, fitted all the lights to the outside, all the power points as well, just need the heating system then he can connect it up to the mains.
FRONT COMPLETED (ish)
